What is mindfulness?

By definition, it is a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.

How can these cards help me with mindfulness?

Each card in the deck of gives focus to different aspects of life. These cards can be used on a daily basis, simply follow the instructions to pick a card then you can either look up the card in the guidance booklet for some inspiration as to how it applies to you and your life or you can simply sit with the card and see what feelings and thoughts it brings forth for you.

What are the benefits of mindfulness?

These are a few of some of the benefits of mindfulness but there are many more:

* Reduces stress, depression and anxiety and increases happiness

* Improves social relationships

* Increases ones ability to be open to new situations, relationships etc

* Increases well being

* Improve sleep

* Strengthens the immune system and helps the body to cope with stress
